Muses are a sisterhood of goddesses or spirits, their number set at nine by Classical times,
who embody the arts and inspire the creation process with their graces through remembered and improvised song and stage,
writing, traditional music, and dance. Not only are the Muses explicitly used in modern English to refer to an inspiration,
as when one cites his/her own artistic muse, but they are also implicit in the words "amuse" or "musing upon".

Our Featured Artist is LIZ ANTLE.

A recent Los Angeles transplant, Liz Antle is a printmaker from New Haven, Connecticut.
She has participated in numerous group exhibitions and enjoyed several solo ones in New York, Connecticut and Los Angeles.
Antle’s primary medium is linoleum.  Found and natural objects – such as bark, leaves, salvaged wood and windows –
frame the images and push the print into the third dimension.
Her current work can perhaps best be described as surrealistic/apocalyptic landscapes.
