Muses are a sisterhood of goddesses or spirits, their number set at nine by Classical times,
who embody the arts and inspire the creation process with their graces through remembered and improvised song and stage,
writing, traditional music, and dance. Not only are the Muses explicitly used in modern English to refer to an inspiration,
as when one cites his/her own artistic muse, but they are also implicit in the words "amuse" or "musing upon".

Hollywood's Theater Row

Cafe MUSE is located in the heart of Hollywood's Theater Row, which is home to 13+ small theatres and theatre companies on and around Santa Monica Boulevard from La Brea to El Centro.  Follow this link to the
Hollywood Media BID's WEBSITE to be linked up to the Theater Row Theaters & a MAP of the Theater Row District.

Many of the theaters and theatre companies in the Theater Row District have been in the community for a decade (or more!), and are producing some of the most provocative and engaging (and award-winning) theatre in Los Angeles.   Cafe MUSE is attached to the Hudson Theatres, which has three stages of its own, with plays running throughout the week and all year long.

Stop by Cafe MUSE to find out what's playing in the neighborhood... and then come by for dinner before seeing a show... or stop by after for some great entertainment and to have some delicious dessert or a drink.

The Hollywood Fringe Festival is coming to Theater Row and surrounding areas in June. Check out the calendar of events at www.hollywoodfringe.org... or stop by the cafe to pick up a festival guide. Tickets are on sale for 176 Fringe shows and over 800 performances for the weeks of June 17 through June 27... We will be offering discounts to Fringe Festival ticket holders!
